REGISTER AND ATTEND FOR FREE Registration [https://www.fieraroma.it/sl.php?c=lipexp26] LIPEDEMA EXPERIENCE — KNOWLEDGE ON THE MOVE is the event organized by Fiera Roma and ITALF (Italian Lymphoedema Framework). Open to patients, family members and anyone who suspects they may have lipoedema, it aims to turn information, listening and scientific expertise into practical tools for the daily management of the condition. These two days dedicated to lipoedema are part of the Fiera Roma Academy and RIE Academy projects involving specialists, healthcare professionals and organizations engaged in scientific outreach and training. Fiera Roma Academy, promoted by Fiera Roma, is the new permanent ecosystem for advanced training, conceived as a meeting space for development, and knowledge – sharing of the Fiera Roma’s fairs. It is a hub for training, innovation and professional growth, equipped with 14 studios, teaching rooms, meeting rooms, spaces for instructors and hospitality areas. It was created to host continuing education, outreach and exchange among universities, professionals, businesses and the scientific community. RIE Academy, which focuses on professional aesthetics and training, is also part of this ecosystem. LIPEDEMA EXPERIENCE was created with a clear goal: to provide a reliable, ethical, and multidisciplinary point of reference, far from the oversimplifications and misleading promises that often characterize the way this condition is discussed online. Lipoedema is, infact, a chronic condition that is still widely underdiagnosed, and early detection can make a significant difference in disease management and in people’s quality of life. For this reason, one of the initiative’s goals will also be to strengthen information, training and awareness by involving professionals who can help recognize its signs and guide people toward appropriate diagnostic and follow-up pathways. With that aim, the core of the event is an experiential and educational program built around the main pillars of lipoedema management: diagnosis, anti-inflammatory nutrition, personalized exercise, physiotherapy, psychological support, self-management and healthy lifestyles habits. Within the Academy spaces there will be medical studios dedicated to diagnosis and specialist consultations with nutritionists, physiotherapists, osteopaths and other healthcare professionals. Alongside the consultations, participants will be able to try practical, everyday activities related to managing the condition. On June 12, the program will also include a public outreach congress designed to make technical and scientific content accessible through a clear and understandable language. On June 13, RIE Academy’s training courses dedicated to lipoedema will begin, in collaboration with the University of Verona and under the scientific direction of Professor Andrea Sbarbati, full Professor of Anatomy. Alongside the congress area there will also be the “Health Restaurant,” a space dedicated to anti-inflammatory nutrition with recipes specifically for people with lipoedema. These recipes will be available for download. The event also aims to create a space for listening and sharing among patients, encouraging the growth of an informed and aware community. This approach focuses not only on the disease itself but also on people’s quality of life and on the need to support them in building a sustainable, personalized routine. LIPEDEMA EXPERIENCE is one of the first events in Italy designed to combine scientific outreach, training, prevention and concrete patient support in a single accessible program.
