Hoboe Productions Presents: Skull & Roses at Portland House of Music - Friday, Sep 27 2024 | Discotech

Fri 27 September 2024
9:00 PM

Hoboe Productions proudly presents Skull & Roses (& Friends), returning to Portland House of Music and Events, Friday, September 27th, 2024. Skull & Roses is a Boston-area collective that emulates the sonic sorcery of the Good Ol’ Grateful Dead at their musical peak. From faithful renditions of your favorite Hunter/Garcia ballads to face-melting, spacey jams, Skull & Roses does it all with a reverence for the original music that shines through on every note. They’ve been featured at Fenway Park’s “Jerry Garcia Day,” Sugarloaf Ski Resort’s “Fire On the Mountain,” and have even made a few trips to the Grateful Campout in mid-coast Maine. Skull & Roses enjoy a solid reputation among fans who appreciate the care and attention they put into making the songs sound “just exactly perfect.” Catch them and see for yourself… it's a real good time! Joined by Very Special Guests for their return to PHOME: Max Chase - Max is a New England-based organist, keyboardist, and songwriter. Over his two decade music career Max has found his place in numerous bands and established himself as a capable session musician. Max can be seen performing regularly with his bands Marble Eyes, Sans Souci JGB, Idlewild: A Celebration Of The Allman Brothers Band, Superfrog, and Amulus. Dan Crea – Hailing from St. Paul, Minnesota, Dan has been the bassist for the nationally-acclaimed Garcia Project since 2012. Before that, he was a member of Fennario, a Grateful Dead tribute band in Massachusetts. When he’s not on the road, he can be found in studios and on stages throughout the Northeast, lending his considerable talents to a variety of different groups. Jeff Glidden – Jeff has played drums professionally since the age of 12 and has shared the stage and recorded with some amazing talent: Bobby Weir, Mickey Hart, Donna Jean Godchaux, Tom Constanten, and Willie Nelson, to name just a few. He’s currently with Lazy Lightning, Wake Up Mama, The Time Pilots, and The Great Aunt Alice Band. “The Human Metronome” keeps busy keeping time! 21+ | $15 adv / $22 doors | 8 PM doors / 9 PM showtime
