This camp is perfect for a beginner gymnast who wants to perfect basic
skills and learn how fun physical activity can be! Campers will work
on balance beam, floor skills, training bar, mini trampoline, cardio
games, stretching and much more. Some skills practiced will be
different types of jumps, rolls, handstands, cartwheels, bridges,
front support and basic flips on bars, etc. Days will be split into
gymnastics skill focus, stretching and gymnastics body positions, and
plenty of movement and body awareness games to keep campers moving.
Not only will participants learn the basics of gymnastics, but
multifaceted skills that extend beyond extracurricular activities.
They will learn confidence in their bodies, increase their listening
skills and ability to follow multi step directions, enhance their
motor skills, body awareness, and balance. National Kids Gym
Gymnastics classes cater to children who are new to physical activity
without a parent or guardian. This class teaches independence and
basic gymnastic and tumbling skills in a safe and comfortable
environment. The coaches love working with children and forming a bond
by meeting them exactly where they are, while allowing them to
progress at their own pace. Please note: There is no camp on June 19.
No experience necessary. A waiver with National Kids Gym will require
a parent or guardian signature before the start of the camp.
