‘Voyeurism’ is an art show curated by Alba Tijm (Trashion, Hooray
For Hollywood, Rofe St Gallery) that centers on projected video works
“Video as a medium is often overlooked in art shows—it requires
viewers to step away from the crowd and take a moment to engage. With
‘Voyeurism,’ I want the audience to be in constant interaction
with the works by making them the focal point, projecting them onto
the walls of Oxford Art Gallery.” I’m incredibly grateful to
feature the work of Mia Kidis, Koko Di, Wade Kelly, Rachel McKay, and
Jake Start, as well as performances by Kurt Lamm (creating an
immersive soundscape through ambient music) and Kika Garcia (bringing
an endurance-based performance). Join us for the opening of Voyeurism
on Good Friday Eve (April 17th), from 7-10 PM. We acknowledge that
this event is held on the stolen lands of the Gadigal people of the
Eora Nation. We pay our respects to Elders, past, present and
emerging. Sovereignty was never ceded.
