Celebrated Australian songwriter Liz Stringer is bringing her powerful
live presence to Australian stages for a select tour to mark the
release of her seventh studio album The Second High (out March 28th
through Remote Control Records/Dot Dash). Recorded at Iguana Studios
in Brixton, UK with Grammy nominated/Ivor Novello Award-winning
producer Beni Giles (Lianna La Havas, Oscar Jerome), a decision which
saw her move permanently to London to develop her career in the UK,
The Second High heralds a new beginning for Stringer. Building on the
themes of recovery and self-realization explored in her critically
acclaimed 2021 release First Time Really Feeling, The Second High
examines and exposes with sharp commentary on relationships, social
equity and personal authenticity. The album is rooted in jazz, funk,
pop and soul, harking back to Stringer’s early musical grounding and
sees her return to the piano, her formative instrument. Liz will
perform in duo mode with guitarist Megan Bernard and will be joined by
very special guest Candice Lorrae who will open the show.
