Join us as Samantha Wood talks about the writing process, shares her insights into the publishing world and how to get inspired to write…
After writing her first book Culua: My Other Life in Mexico, a love letter to her mother’s country, Samantha Wood took another decade to release her debut novel, The Bay of Shadows, a psychological thriller set on Victoria’s Mornington Peninsula. She joins us at Alice Springs Public Library to talk about her latest offering, Under Ten Thousand Stars and the process of writing fiction.
Before she became an author, she worked in a newsroom, as an interpreter, and captioning for the Deaf to supplement her writing, before starting her own publishing company in 2019 to tell uniquely Australian stories.
Join us as Samantha Wood talks about the writing process, shares her insights into the publishing world, and how nature, life, love, and everything in between inspire her stories.
Born and raised on the Mornington Peninsula, Samantha lives near the beach that was the inspiration for the setting of The Bay of Shadows.
