Hello Everyone,As someone who went to JAFS every year when it was at
T.T.P and waited all year for this event as previously one of if not
the biggest car meet and cruise in Australia, going to the recent
jaf's really showed how much that has fallen apart since the cruise
officially "stopped".
Given JAFS history and how it began it didn't seem right to try and
take on the name or reorganise the event and take anything away from
the original organisers, but I feel the day needs some organisation
again and with that will be looking to start the Harbour To Coast -
Meet & Cruise.
The recent JAFS essentially seemed to just be outer harbour to
Semaphore on repeat until people got bored and went home while the
meets were poorly planned and people leaving long before the
"organised" time made it no longer a cruise aswell as the Semaphore
esplanade giving too much opportunity to Sapol for defects etc..
We'll be looking to retain the outer harbour to Semaphore route
because it's great seeing everyone parked up spectating along the way
and enjoying the cars but will be a new starting point aswell as new
route, mid way point and end point after the outer harbour/Semaphore
run.
The meet in short form will be as below -
Boxing Day - December 26th
*
Begin at Gepps X Home HQ
*
Cruise to/along Outer harbour/Semaphore Esplanade
*

*

*
Griffiths Rd/Main South Rd/Southern Expressway to Collonades (End
Meet)
Total Cruise length 2 hours (+Congestion at Semaphore and mid way
stop)
Timeline will be approx as below -
*

*

*
Meet at Westfield West Lakes @ 5:30pm
*
Leave at 6:30pm
*
Meet at Collonades @ 8:00
*
Leave when you like.
This route allows plenty of scenic beach driving, retains the current
Semaphore esplanade for spectator viewing and also allows plenty of
dual lane roads to allow cars to stretch their legs a bit between
esplanades with more opportunity for spectator viewing in Noarlunga
along the coast while also being the perfect balance for those both in
the North & South to come along for the day.
For family's bringing kids there is also the amazing Jubilee Park in
Port Noarlunga which you could stop at and let the kids stretch their
legs skipping the end loop and then join back up at Collonades end
point.
Lets bring all the different cars back together again and bring back
the best boxing day cruise in Australia.
