Round 2 of the NBL1 2025 Season sees the Norwood Flames host the
Southern Tigers at The Arc Campbelltown on April 5th. This will be
Norwood's home opener, as they faced off against North Adelaide in the
season opener, at The Lights. Both teams will be looking to bounce
back from defeats. The Northline Norwood Flames Women's team have a
lot of returners from last year- including team MVP Emily Saunders.
New recruits include Amanda Paschall, who has been a dominant force in
Big V for Wyndham the past few years. Lauren Tewhata, from New
Zealand, comes with size and length to bring versatility to the group.
For Southern's Women- they have signed new imports in Mackenzie
Johnston and Iva Belosevic. The South Ave Norwood Flames Men have
seen some familiar faces return into the fold- club favourite Trey
McBride- fresh from playing in France, has rejoined the group. An
elite guard, Trey brings excellent 2-way play to the team. Big Man-
Anthony Green- has also come back to the Flames. 6'10 Green will be a
keyway presence on both ends- providing much needed rim protection,
whilst also being a lob threat. Jourdan Smith has joined from
Grambling State University (NCAA D1). Smith is a 6'6 versatile wing
who also will provide size and length at both ends of the court. Riley
Harrap and Cooper Osborne also return, both who had solid 2024
