A space for book lovers to come together, LEARN NEW BOOK BINDING
SKILLS AND HAVE FUN WHILE DOING IT!In this class, learn one of the
most common book binding stitches - the 5 hole saddle stitch - and
walk away with your very own hand stitched blank notebook!
Using beautiful scrap papers, old magazines, lost letters, and paper
collage techniques, design a cover and bind it together with waxed
linen thread to create your one of a kind notebook.
In addition to learning saddle stitch, you will also
- be introduced to the tools of the craft
- learn book binding basics such as folding techniques, paper
choices, types of thread, supply stores
- be shown some DIY tricks so you can book bind at home without all
the "necessary" tools
- plus gain skills on how to re-purpose your scrap papers and
magazines into a beautiful hand stitched notebook.
You'll never want to throw things out again!
