In the maker space, the children will macramé a hanging planter from
street banners and make a kokedama plant, tinker with tools to
discover how things work and create their own leather tag for their
school bag. In between creative making sessions, they’ll take a tour
through the warehouse and find out the stories behind some of the
interesting items they see. They’ll also discover the important job
of a worm, how easy it is to recycle at home and school, and discuss
all the little things they can all do to make a big difference for
their environment. They are also running Kids Day Out Two on the very
last day of the holidays. Check out other classes to see what they'll
be making. Terms and conditions: They encourage parents/carers to
advise them of a child’s special needs so they can assess whether
they need to adapt any part of the workshop or request the
parents/carers to stay.
