Information about a free Caring for Country WORKSHOP AND ART-based RECONCILIATION/ PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM FOR YOUR SCHOOL This workshop will also build your capacity and confidence to embed Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander perspectives in the classroom, by providing an introduction and information about: * Core concepts in Reconciliation in Education * Accessing professional learning and curriculum resources though Reconciliation Australia’s Narragunnawali and Schools Reconciliation Challenge online platforms * Engaging with a Narragunnawali school-based Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) * Building and strengthening relationships with local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander artists, writers and Elders * Using art and writing based activities to foster student pride and connection with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures, histories and contributions through the exploration of local stories
