Improve your centre's sustainability and incorporate creative reuse in
your program with this 3 hour professional learning workshop for Early
Childhood, Primary or OOSH educators. This inquiry based learning
workshop will increase your capacity to use reuse materials in
innovative, useful and creative ways. We will explore readily
available waste materials for their reuse potential and clarify waste
disposal methods of common household items. We will cover construction
techniques using a variety of materials enabling educators to
confidently implement reuse materials in to arts, STEM, literacy,
numeracy and play programs. Workshop agenda Introduction to reuse
materials in educational and play based contexts Reuse materials in
the makerspace: Tips, tricks and techniques for creative reuse
Sorting, Sourcing & the 3Rs: making the most of what’s available.
Warehouse tour and materials sourcing Create an invitation to play or
a classroom kit to take back to your centre. Reuse materials in
intentional teaching – documentation and alignment Workshop costs
include: All workshop materials, notes and participant workbooks,
Expert workshop facilitator, Tea and Coffee provided. Cancellation and
Refunds: Reverse Garbage is a not- for-profit organisation serving the
community therefore minimum participant numbers must be reached. Any
cancellation decision will be communicated by email 7 days before the
advertised date. In the case of cancellation a full refund or transfer
to another date will be provided. No refund will be available for
withdrawal of 7 days or less; we encourage you to send a colleague
