This program provides an understanding of dementia. It explores
strategies, resources and support services for maintaining positive
carer wellbeing and effective communication.You will gain knowledge
in:
• the effects of dementia and understanding how to plan ahead
• positive communication and engagement techniques
• practical strategies and support for managing CARER STRESS
Suitable for: Family carers and family members of people living with
dementia. This program is not suitable for professionals employed in
the health or aged care sectors.

WHAT ARE MY TRANSPORT/PARKING OPTIONS FOR GETTING TO AND FROM THE
EVENT?
If you are planning to drive, there is on street parking available on
either side of Percy Street which is located in a residential area.
There is also street parking around the corner on Chatham Road.
Our closest train station is Broadmeadow station which is only a 5
minute walk to our office (take Graham Road exit at station and
continue to turn right at Chatham Road and left at Percy Street).

DO I HAVE TO BRING MY PRINTED TICKET TO THE EVENT?
It is ideal if you can bring your ticket. However, if you have
completed your registration we will have your details and forgetting
your ticket won’t be a problem.
