Pedagogy for Stage 6 Biology (Western Sydney)

PEDAGOGY FOR STAGE 6 BIOLOGY (WESTERN SYDNEY) Join our brand new workshop designed to improve knowledge and understanding for teaching the new Y11 and HSC BIOLOGY COURSES. This workshop will be of value to both new and experienced BIOLOGY teachers. The focus will be to keep our students motivated and engaged through their journey of high school BIOLOGY. Activities will include: * dissecting key areas of the 2019 HSC exam * improving pedagogical skills, with particular regard to Working Scientifically * designing original and high quality depth studies * unpacking some exciting and new practical ideas for Stage 6 Biology ------------------------- ENDORSEMENT Completing PEDAGOGY FOR STAGE 6 BIOLOGY ON 24 FEBRUARY 2020 will contribute 5 hours of NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA) Registered PD addressing 1.2.2, 1.5.2, 2.1.2 and 6.3.2 from the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers towards maintaining Proficient Teacher Accreditation in NSW.
