Are you interested in talking about DEATH, dying and the
afterlife? Then you are warmly welcomed to join us at our monthly
Death Cafe, a group-directed, agenda-free discussion group dedicated
to death, dying and the afterlife.
Death Cafe is about conversation. It's about people telling their
stories, exchanging ideas, learning from one another and sharing
moments of great warmth and intimacy. Please note that Death Cafe is
not a bereavement support group or grief counselling group.
Death Cafe is facilitated by Dr Michele Knight, Social Scientist,
whose interest and research in the end-of-life has its origin in the
lived experiences of her own life. She has extensive experience in
community advocacy, bereavement and grief support and is currently
completing her Masters’ clinical Social Work degree at the
University of Sydney.
The Death Cafe movement is a global, community-directed initiative
which provides an opportunity to increase awareness of death.
The event is free but a gold coin donation is welcome. PLEASE ARRIVE
AT 1:45PM FOR A 2:00PM START.
