Core components of the one-day intensive expert witness training
program are:
* The expert's role in the court proceedings
* Rules of evidence as they apply to the expert's opinion
* Explaining the rules that govern your expressing opinions in a
written report or by spoken evidence in the witness box
* Exploring ways in which the well-prepared expert can succeed in
the witness box
* Report writing and communication skills
* Suggestions on how to prepare a report that persuades
* Court procedures to narrow the points of disagreement between
opposing expert opinions
* Understanding the aims and methods of examination and
cross-examination

WHERE ABOUTS IN THE UNIVERSITY OF NSW IS THE TRAINING DAY HELD?
Our TRAINING DAY IS HELD IN THE SOUTH WING OF THE RUPERT MYERS
BUILDING (map reference M15

the University of NSW, Kensington Campus. If you enter via Gate 14 off
Barker Street, it's the first building on your right.
What is your cancellation and refund policy?
If written notice is received by Uniserach more than 10 Working Days
prior to the Course commencement date:
* 80% of the Fee and Charges will be refunded; or
* The participant may request a credit note for 100% of the Fees and
Charges (the credit note will be valid for 12 months).
If written notice is received by Unisearch less than 10 working days
prior to the Course Commencement Date:
* 50% of the Fees and Charges will be refunded.
No refund of the Fees and Charges will be made if written notice is
received on or after the Course Commencement Date or in the case of
the Participant's non-attendance at the Course.
Can I organise a substitute to take my place if I'm unable to attend?
Participants may substitute another Participant to attend the Course
in the Participant’s place as follows:
* The Participant must provide written notice to Unisearch more than
5 working days before the Course Commencement Date; and
* The Participant must pay an administration fee of $150.00.
