Tweet Loris Thurgar, once art teacher, textile artist, commercial
designer working in the carpet industry for 30+ years creating
hospitality and residential carpet designs now rediscovering self and
answering the riddle “what came first, the chicken or the egg?”
The Egg Came First is a show of “new” early works in different
media exploring the joy of following one’s own desires and visions.
Immersing oneself in the image and materials, getting up close to the
subject and really looking, squeezing paint, mixing and moving intense
pigments on the palette and canvas, hands on wet clay slipping and
spinning. Revelling in the colour and shape of things. Advertisement
