Energetic, dedicated and independent; Australian rock band Young Lions
show no signs of slowing down. Just look at their latest album Mr
Spaceman; with over 2 million plays on Spotify alone, receiving
critical acclaim from industry giants Rolling Stone and the Music as
well as an iTunes and AIR #3 chart debut. The band Zachary Britt
[Rhythm Guitar and Vocals], Matt Gibson [Drums], Morgan Castle [Bass]
and Ryan Allison [Lead Guitar] continually push themselves to realise
their best - typified especially with their new single ‘Golden.’
Zach - “Life can get crazy sometimes and we all know what it’s
like to be burnt out and on the edge. For me personally I know
there’s a few people, songs and places in my life that bring me back
up again when this whacked out world gets overwhelming. That group of
people, those sounds and places that help centre you and bring it all
back into perspective or even just remind you to meditate and get out
of your bubble. You don’t have to act like everything’s fine
around these friends as they help you recharge. This song is an anthem
for those moments. When it’s all a little fucked up. Hopefully this
song can be a place to ease your mind and soul. If you want to get
some stuff of your chest and take shelter from the shit, it’s okay
to rest your smile here and stay until you’re golden.” Young Lions
are no strangers to hard work with their live performances either -
their impressive touring schedule around the Australian rock scene in
the last year alone has seen them on the road with international
superstars Taking Back Sunday and Anberlin along with Australian
heavyweights Hands Like Houses and Hellions just to name a few. Let
alone at their own Sold Out shows across the country on their previous
headline tour supporting their JJJ Unearthed #1 Single ‘Help’ and
coveted festival slots around Australia. Not shying away from their
regional fans either; Young Lions have already toured the back country
of Australia alongside In Hearts Wake in 2018 and are set to bring
their high energy show to regional Australia again in October/November
alongside Hands Like Houses before setting out on their own headline
East Coast run in support of ‘Golden’. With a 4th album well in
the works and headline tours on the horizon Young Lions are certainly
a band to keep an eye on. Possibly even two.
