Join 100+ environmental, social and governance leaders and explore best practice in sustainability education in an innovative hybrid event

Early Registrations Now Open: Sustainability Education Summit - 25th -26th August 2021 - NSW Parliament House, Sydney, Australia

As Governments, corporations and their stakeholders worldwide are becoming more aware of the growing impacts of climate change, destruction and depletion of natural resources, and the critical services provided by ecosystems worldwide, environmental management and sustainability are coming to the fore of business interests. Especially as the latest push for net zero carbon goals and sustainability more generally is being led by the global investment, credit reporting, financial services institutions, insurance and reinsurance communities and activist investors. Neglecting sustainability strategy is having an increasing risky impact on the balance sheet and it’s become a business-critical issue. Good business management is now embracing environmental, social and corporate governance.

The Australian College of Business Intelligence (ACBI) is a leading provider of vocational education for domestic and overseas students in the area of business and digital technologies, with leading-edge training responsive to current industry practice and guided by local and global responsibility. As part of our focus on social responsibility in business, ACBI run a range of tertiary courses in environmental management and sustainability. We are now expanding on this offering by launching a conference and in house training course series focused on corporate sustainability education.

The summit is in the early stages of development but we've had a strong interest so far, and we are honoured to be joined by the following international keynote speakers in 2021’s launch year:

  • Stefanos Fotiou, Director, Environment and Development Division, United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific
  • Dr Rabia Ferroukhi, Director of the Knowledge, Policy and Finance Center at the International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA)

Event development is being led through the advisory support of sustainability and environmental management leaders from organisations including:

Affirmative Investment Management, Sandvik, Australia Post, NSW Department of Planning, Industry and Environment, Acuris Global, Visy Industries Pty Ltd, Alinta Energy, Australian Broadcasting Corporation, Walgett Shire Council, Liverpool Council, Australian Packaging Covenant Organisation Ltd, Meat & Livestock Australia, Tamworth Regional Council, John Holland, Interflow, and Telstra

Over 2 in-depth and interactive days from 25-26 August 2021, the inaugural ACBI Sustainability Education Summit will be held in an innovative hybrid format, both physically at NSW Parliament House and online through an immersive virtual event platform. We look forward to bringing together 100+ sustainability, environmental, social, and learning and development practitioners to network, share case studies and new ideas, and benchmark best practice approaches to sustainability education. Early bird registrations are now open. Secure your pass before Friday July 2nd for the best available rate. For more information around the event, please contact Alicia Boyd, Event Manager, ACBI on 0402 231 300 or alicia.boyd@acbi.edu.au, or visit our summit website at www.sesummit.com.au.
