Exhibition opening: 4-6PM, Saturday 19 January
Xiao Lu: Impossible Dialogue 肖鲁: 语嘿 is the first retrospective of leading contemporary Chinese artist Xiao Lu. Part of Sydney Festival 2019, this major exhibition examines Xiao Lu’s creative interest in deep emotion, extreme action, and chance. Spanning a period of 30 years, Impossible Dialogue presents significant performance works by Xiao Lu including a new commission that explores the artist’s ongoing connection to Australia.
This opening event starts at 4:00PM with drinks and an opening address from Julie Ewington, independent writer and curator, living in Sydney.
