Safety Around Your Vehicle: Transport Workshop (SafeWork NSW) TAMWORTH

INDUSTRY ADVISORY WORKSHOPA key component of the Transport WHS Sector Plan is to consult with the transport sector on priority harms identified in the industry. SafeWork NSW will facilitate workshops in regional and metropolitan NSW to seek industry advice on developing safety strategies for the following risks: * traffic management * loading and unloading * vehicle immobilisation and unintentional vehicle movement * exclusion zones – separating people and plant * couple and uncouple trailers * safe zones for drivers and safe parking areas * roadside safety. The workshop will also provide a summary of injury trends and factors in transport and a status update on what’s happening in the Transport WHS Sector Plan. LINDSAY AUSTRALIA LTD ENFORCEABLE UNDERTAKING A key deliverable in the Enforceable Undertaking between SafeWork NSW and Lindsay Australia Limited, is for Lindsay’s to develop a suite of educational tools to increase safety awareness in the transport sector. Lindsay will work with SafeWork NSW in the advisory workshops to align the tools to targeted transport related activities, as identified above and as directly related to the high-risk harms identified in the Transport WHS Sector Plan.
