Coolangatta’s Queen Elizabeth Park will come alive with the spirit
of Christmas on December 15, with free Coolangatta Christmas Carols.
Sing along to your favourite carols with legendary performer Denis
Walter, enjoy brilliant Christmas performances and settle in for a
magical night under the Gold Coast stars. The Coolangatta Christmas
Markets and food trucks will be open from 4:00 pm, with the show
starting at 5:30 pm. The Salvation Army will be fundraising for the
Red Shield Appeal, selling candles for $3. Rotary Club of Currumbin
Coolangatta Tweed Inc will also be raising funds for local projects
through its legendary sausage sizzle and will have a recycling
trailer next to their tent for recycling any bottles or cans on the
night. After saving thousands of plastic water bottles from landfill
over the past two years, Connecting Southern Gold Coast is again
striving towards a plastic-free event. The Coolangatta Christmas
Carols will be a no plastic bottle zone in an effort to preserve our
beautiful area, reduce waste and to protect the environment. There
will be four water refill stations set up, so make sure you BYO
water bottle!
