ANZAC SQUARE MEMORIAL GALLERIES TOUR: The Place where Queensland
Remembers Experience Queensland’s pre-eminent war memorial and gain
a greater understanding of Australia’s military past at Anzac
Square. The refreshed Anzac Square Memorial Galleries, curated by the
State Library of Queensland, allow you to delve deeper into
Queensland’s war history than ever before - embarking on an
interactive journey from World War One to today.
Tours are led for adult groups as well as primary, secondary and
tertiary students. Tours last 30-45 minutes. If your group has special
requirements, please contact us directly to discuss how we can assist.
Please note that tours are not offered on public holidays.
AVAILABLE DAYS: Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays
AVAILABLE SESSION TIMES: 10:30am, 11:30am, 1:00pm
LOCATION: Anzac Square Memorial, 285 Ann Street, Brisbane City.
Meet at the main entry. Look for the large double brass doors leading
to the World War I Memorial Gallery, located in the left corner of the
Anzac Square parkland.

NUMBER OF ATTENDEES
To ensure quality, tour groups are limited to a maximum of 20
participants per tour (not including supervising adults for school
groups). A maximum of 2 tour groups (40 participant tickets) are
available during each time slot. Larger groups may wish to book across
multiple time slots and are welcome to do so. Please email staff for
activities to undertake in the area.
ACCESS
Please let us know, via the booking form, if members of your group
have mobility challenges. All interactive screens in the galleries are
wheel chair accessible. Ambulant toilets are also available in the
Post World War II Memorial Gallery.

ADDITIONAL NOTES FOR SCHOOL GROUPS
ONE ADULT SUPERVISOR IS REQUIRED FOR EACH GROUP OF 20
STUDENTS. Please book the appropriate amount of supervising adult
tickets for each group of 20 students. A supervising adult is expected
to supervise students at all times.
Tables and chairs are available in the Post World War II Memorial
Gallery for learning activities on request.
CANCELLATIONS
Two days’ notice for cancellation of tours would be appreciated.
