Year 12 Composition Showcase - Triptych 2018

Queensland Academies Creative Industries (QACI) welcomes you to Year 12 COMPOSITION SHOWCASE, part of our Year 12 graduating SHOWCASE EVENT TRIPTYCH 2018.Triptych 2018 this year will showcase our separate creative subject events for our Year 12 International Baccalaureate students in the subject areas of – Film, Music, Visual Arts and Dance. Year 12 Theatre and Design students previously submitted their creative works for their respective disciplines earlier in the year. The Year 12 Music SHOWCASE PROVIDES OUR MUSIC GRADUATES WITH THE OPPORTUNITY TO SHARE A HIGHLIGHT FROM THEIR COMPOSITION AND PERFORMANCE PORTFOLIOS, demonstrating the diversity of this cohort’s musical interests. With the expert guidance of our Music faculty Matt Christensen, Kate Freeman, Alison Rogers, Michael Askill and composer-in-residence, Nicole Murphy, our graduating students have developed creative and performing skills through exploration, control and manipulation of musical elements within a diverse range of styles and genres. The Year 12 Music Showcase will feature highlights from our Year 12 graduating students’ Creative and Performance portfolios developed through the International Baccalaureate (IB) Higher Level Music course. Tickets to the event are complimentary however booked within a limited context of availability.
