SUPPLY CHAIN RT (SCRt)  CIWG Topic: ESTABLISHING EFFECTIVE METRICS IN THE SUPPLY CHAIN THIS CIWG IS PROUDLY BEING HOSTED BY SIRF RT MEMBER: The CIWG topic in detail: The SUPPLY CHAIN IS THE BACKBONE OF ANY BUSINESS: a living ecosystem that ensures the smooth, efficient and consistent delivery of a product or service from a supplier to customer. If your SUPPLY CHAIN IS INEFFICIENT, ineffective, or fragmented, it could seriously hinder your commercial prospects. Recent studies suggest that 79% of companies with high-performing SUPPLY CHAINS EARN A REVENUE GROWTH GREATER THAN THE AVERAGE WITHIN THEIR SECTOR. However, despite the clear-cut value of developing an efficient SUPPLY CHAIN, 40% of companies aren’t looking at SUPPLY CHAIN PERFORMANCE METRICS OR AUTOMATION TO IMPROVE THEIR PROCESSES. So, what do you measure? If you measure everything, how can you see the ‘wood for the trees? In general, the key performance indicators (KPI's) established by a company illustrate the gap between planning and execution in the SUPPLY CHAIN, and are METRICS SET UP TO MONITOR ONE OR MORE OF THE FOLLOWING: cost, value, service, and waste. In this workgroup, we will share what we measure and identify the gaps where we can improve. We will explore: What are you doing to measure forecast accuracy? Do you measure conversion cycle time? How are you measuring freight accuracy? What is your ‘Perfect order rate’? Are you measuring Inventory turnover? How often are you shipping on time? Do you know why goods are being returned? Please come along to this Common Interest Working Group and share what you are doing to improve your SUPPLY CHAIN.
