Opera in the Upper House

This July, experience the thrill of the Opera in the Upper House starring the youthful, energetic and enchanting Brisbane City Opera. Don't miss the magical new production brought to life by the future legends of Australian opera supported by a chorus of burgeoning talent from the Hillbrook Chorale. Step back in time and be captivated by the splendour and history of the Upper House, with ornate plaster coffered ceilings and walls embellished with 22 carat gold leaf and two Waterford Crystal chandeliers hanging overhead. Formerly the site of the Legislative Council Chamber, it only makes sense to bring to life themes of romance, betrayal, quarrels and politics through an opera extravaganza.
