Miracle on Roma Street – the Enchanted Garden returns with a
stunning light display Favourite Share Much like moths to the flame,
it’s really hard for us humans to resist the lure of a good
Christmas lighting display. Whether it’s a family tradition or a
happy coincidence, riding through your suburb to check out the festive
adornments on your neighbours’ houses is one of those wholesome
activities creates a sense of childlike joy and instant nostalgia.
Well, we’ve found a little something that takes that feeling to the
highest level – returning to the Roma Street Parkland from December
8–17, the Enchanted Garden sees the grounds light up in a twinkling
technicolour display that will captivate your senses. After its
stunning debut last year, the Enchanted Garden won a place in
Brisbane’s collective heart and will return to the Roma Street
Parkland for a limited time leading up to Christmas. Taking over the
Spectacle Garden for the duration of the event, this breathtaking
display and immersive experience is a free-entry walkthrough that is
sure to surprise and delight. Twinkling lights, charming decorations
and a smooth, mellow score all set the scene for a summer night of
festive wandering. Because the Enchanted Garden was so dang popular
last year, this year there are a few rules in place to make sure
everyone has a chance to experience the magic. It’s still totally
free to enter but to ensure crowd safety there will be a staggered
entry format. The Enchanted Garden is open from 6:30–9:30 pm every
night during the December 8–17 period, with weekends obviously being
a pretty busy time. While you’re in the area be sure to check out
the rest of Roma Street Parkland – it’s a real stunner! The 16
hectares of the site have themed gardens, secret paths, loads of local
artwork and more to feast your eyes upon. Keen for more information?
