Join Joel Pobar for a discussion on why modelling is an unreasonably effective method for simplifying the complex and turning data into understanding.
Joel will focus on two things:
1) How Facebook uses mental models to scale it's leadership and build healthy teams and organizations quickly.
2) How we use modeling and simulation to better understand the experience our users are having of our apps.
As Director of Engineering at Facebook, Joel runs the Programming Languages and Compilers organization. He's originally from Brisbane, Australia.
