About the workshop:
Learn to build ceramic vessels using your hands and just a few simple tools!
Dive in to a beginner, clay hand building lesson with Toowoomba based artist, Peta Berghofer. During this workshop participants will create their own sculptural and functional vessels inspired by everyday forms. To follow, objects can be decorated with a selection of ceramic colours. You'll take home a bunch of clay joining knowledge and 2 objects full of character!
The cost of the class includes materials and kiln firings for a small practice work and one final artwork.
Please bring an apron or wear clothes that can get messy. All tools are supplied, but you are most welcome to bring your own!
* This class does not include lessons on glazing or kiln firing. After the class, all final pieces will be left to dry and then glazed and fired locally. This will keep your artworks durable and food safe. Your completed works will be available for collection within 3 weeks of the workshop.
