QAM opens in a carnival atmosphere for its annual OPEN COCKPIT WEEKEND July 7 & 8 from 9am to 4pm both days. Attractions include;

- 80 historically significant aircraft on display.

- 20 aircraft open to the public including F-111, Mirage Jet, DC-3 and more.

- Huge air-side display with vintage aircraft fly-ins.

- Military aircraft fly-in.

- Lots of entertainment; WW2 Jeep Rides, Jumping Castle, Girl Friday Jazz & Blues, Fashion Parade, Star Wars characters, Coastal Caring Clowns and more

- Joyce-Mayne VR display.

- Food and drinks, REAL Coffee.

- Aircraft models & souvenir shop
