2019 INTERDISCIPLINARY COLLOQUIUM ON SPORT ‘WELLBEING IN SPORT: A
MULTITUDE OF PERSPECTIVES'.
The Interdisciplinary Colloquium is an annual event which has run for
the past 8 years through the Centre for Commercial Law at Bond
University.
Scholars, industry representatives and students attend from a range of
disciplines to discuss sport-related topics. It is truly
interdisciplinary and has resulted in the formation of many research
groups, collaborations and networks being established.
Through the generous support of the Bond University Centre for
Commercial Law, Faculty of Law, Bond Business School, Faculty of
Society and Design, Faculty of Health Science and Medicine and Office
of Research Services, Bond University will once again be host to the
Interdisciplinary Colloquium on Sport ‘Wellbeing in Sport: A
Multitude of Perspectives' in 2019.
A keynote presentation by Professor Betsy Grey from Arizona State
University on ‘The Duty of Care in SPORT: Athlete WELLBEING AND
LEGAL CONSIDERATIONS’ addresses the importance of WELLBEING IN
SPORT. A second keynote presentation will be delivered by Ian
Prendergast, CEO from the Rugby League Players' Association on
wellbeing from a players' perspective. A variety of perspectives,
including athlete and participant wellbeing, mental health and
