YEAR LEVEL AND NEEDS. RESEARCH, STUDY AND EXPLORE SESSION TIMES:

weekend visit options or if your group has special needs. Choose one
of the following group sessions. Research experience 35 persons max
(including adults) per two-hour session Recommended for Years 7-12
This experience is designed for school groups seeking to build
information literacy by blending in-school preparation with onsite
research. Teachers, please supply a topic for research or an
assignment question when registering. A Librarian will provide search
terms and suggested resources for students to use. Once onsite the
group will be greeted by a volunteer who leads the way to our
dedicated study area where students explore their topic using State
Librarys Catalogue and online resources. Short how-to videos are
available to provide students with basic search skills. To complete
research, students will need to bring their own devices. Independent
study 35 persons max (including adults) per two-hour session
Recommended for Years 5 - 12 If your group wishes to study
independently, book our school area on level 3 including large tables
for study and quiet instruction, and access to the State Reference
library. Please note that dedicated librarian assistance is not
provided with this booking (if you require help with assessment topics
or preparation, please book a Research Experience). _____ To make the
most of your visit we encourage students and teachers to become
members prior to your visit. Please use a residential Queensland
address, not the school address, when registering. Membership is free
and enables students to search the catalogue and place physical items
on hold, ready to collect and use during their time onsite. Visit
