Join us in a special night of fun-filled, joyous festivities as we celebrate the advent of Sri NITYANANDA PRABHU WHO APPEARED ALONG SIDE SRI GAURANGA TO INAUGERATE AND SPREAD THE GLORIOUS KIRTAN TRADITION.500 years ago, in the ancient kingdom of Bengal, two great transcendental personalities; Sri Nityananda & Sri Gauranga, appeared and freely spread the chanting of the holy names of the supreme soul throughout all of India. This kirtan tradition which is the Yuga Dharma or the recommended process of self-realization in the Vedic teachings is now sweeping the globe and hundreds of thousands of people of all cultures are falling in love with it. In the sacred writings of the sages of India, it is described; ”I offer my respectful obeisances unto Shri Krishna Chaitanya (Gauranga) and Lord Nityananda, who are like the sun and moon. They have arisen simultaneously on the horizon of Gauda [West Bengal] to dissipate the darkness of ignorance and thus wonderfully bestow benediction upon all.” [Chaitanya Charitamrita Adi-lila 1.2] Sri Gauranga glorified Kirtan as; “The prime benediction for humanity because it spreads the rays of the benediction moon, it increases the ocean of transcendental bliss and enables us to taste the nectar for which we are always anxious.” [Sri Siksastakam 1] Kirtan nourishes the deepest needs of the soul.
