Opera Australia is bringing its radiant production of Aida to the
Queensland Performing Arts Centre from November 17 to December 4.
Promising a thrilling theatrical experience, from the famous Triumphal
March to the intimate ending, viewers are sure to find every scene in
the show spectacular. Told through Verdi’s powerful music, this
opera performance set in Ancient Egypt tells a timeless story of love
and betrayal against the backdrop of war. In this special Brisbane
event, Francesco Lanzillotta conducts an exciting cast, with Natalie
Aroyan performing as the enslaved princess Aida, Elena Gabouri as her
rival Amneris and Diego Torre as the man they both love, Radames.
Bartione Amartuvshin Enkhbat will also impress audiences, singing the
commanding role of King Amonasro, the enslaved Ethiopian King. Viewers
can also expect to be enthralled by the huge chorus plus twenty
dancers and actors who will add to the massed grandeur on stage.
Performance times are 7:30 pm throughout the week, with one 12:30 pm
showing on Saturday 28 November. Tickets can be purchased through
QPAC.
