ZOOM ATTENDANCE IS ALSO AVAILABLE, _BUT WILL CATER MORE TO IN PERSON STUDENTS._ COMPULSORY for all UniSA: Psychology, Social Work and Human Service students going on placement. _THIS EVENT IS RESTRICTED TO UNISA STUDENTS ONLY AND REGISTRATION WILL ONLY BE ACCEPTED VIA UNISA STUDENT EMAIL ACCOUNTS. _ ALL students are required to have completed the Safe Environments For Children and Young People Training (formerly known as Child Safe Environments Training) within the last three years. If you have done this training elsewhere, please upload a copy of your certificate to InPlace where requested. The Children and Young People (Safety) Act 2017 requires certain organisations to provide a child safe environment. Organisations that do not take appropriate steps to protect childrens safety and wellbeing may be poorly equipped to manage and respond to risks that may arise regarding the safety and wellbeing of children accessing their services. Students participating in professional placements involving children/ young people under 18 years of age are mandated notifiers and have a legal responsibility to report suspected child abuse or neglect. All students who attend placement must complete the Safe Environments For Children and Young People Training prior to their placement taking place. *Note: Online training certificates will not be accepted unless you have already completed a full 7 hour face-to-face training session. IMPORTANT: THIS EVENT IS RESTRICTED TO UNISA STUDENTS ONLY AND REGISTRATION WILL ONLY BE ACCEPTED VIA UNISA STUDENT EMAIL ACCOUNTS.
