Learn about SPACE CAREERS AND THE PATHWAYS TO ENTER THEM FROM
COMPANIES DIRECTLY INVOLVED WITH THE AUSTRALIAN SPACE SECTOR. School
students and teachers are encouraged by the South Australian Space
Industry Centre to attend a Space Passport session at the 9th Space
Forum being held in Adelaide, South Australia on Wednesday 19
February, 2020 at the Adelaide Convention Centre.
These sessions provide the perfect opportunity for students and
teachers to learn about current/future careers within the Space
Economy and Industry and inspire young people to develop the skills to
push forward the frontiers of scientific knowledge.
The Space Passport sessions encourage students to;
• Talk directly to companies currently involved with the Australian
Space Sector
• Ask companies about current and future careers within their
industry
• Find out about the school and tertiary pathways needed to enter
the discussed careers
• Have their Space Passport stamped by 4 exhibiting companies after
discussing careers and pathways then enter details at the Advanced
Technology Program Education Stand to win a prize
Space Passport sessions are only available from 9:00am -10:00am or
11:00am - 12:00pm, for both Government and Catholic/Independent
schools when Exhibitors will be available for student queries and
discussions.
Registrations will open Tuesday 28 January and close Friday 14
February 2020.
Due to the limited availability of this event and our Space related
company exhibitors’ time to maximise the amount of schools that are
able to attend, schools are limited to a total of 6 attendees
(including students and teachers) with 30 places available in this
session.
