*****This WORKSHOP IS NOW SOLD OUT. If you would like to be waitlisted, or advised of a repeat WORKSHOP, email coordinators@rtwsa.com. Alternatively, if you would like to access some free support to help you overcome barriers, you can arrange a visit with Houda Peters, Employer Education Advisor._ __“If only it were that straight forward…” _– The role of the Return to Work Coordinator is to support an injured worker throughout their recovery and return to work, and to ensure that the employer continues to play an active role in fostering a safe and sustainable workplace to enable successful return to work outcomes. Sounds easy, right? Work injuries can be complex, and Return to Work Coordinators are often faced with the challenging task of identifying strategies to overcoming obstacles which, if unmanaged, can become significant barriers to return to work and have long-standing impacts on the individual and the workplace. This 2 hour workshop will break down the timeline of a work injury, identifying common (and not so common) barriers along the way. From the impact of poor workplace culture, to relationships with stakeholders and sourcing suitable duties. Together, participants will discuss advanced strategies for getting things back on track.
