An Evening with Senator Rex Patrick - Improving Defence Procurement

SENATOR REX PATRICK IS A PASSIONATE DEFENCE ADVOCATE FOR SA. As a new Senator, he will be representing South Australia and this special evening with the Senator will give guests the opportunity to hear him, understand his beliefs and views and gain a clearer picture of who our new Senator is. Senator Patrick was one of the speakers at the RUSI SUBSUMMIT 2015 which challenged the Government's decision to buy 12 submarine hulls from Japan.  The SUBSUMMIT was the most successful initiative for SA, delivering a changed position and a French win which should deliver AUD$20 billion to the State along with thousands of new jobs, skills and a depth of shipbuilding experience.  The RUSI takes credit for the SUBSUMMIT. The Senator has clear ideas on the defence procurement processes for the Australian Government and will put these to a select audience of the defence industry, RUSI Members, academics, scientists, technologists and the media.
