You + Me ....DID YOU KNOW?
Every day in AUSTRALIA, around 50 women are told they have breast or a
gynaecological cancer. Sadly, every day around 12 Australian women
will die from a women's cancer and every day around AUSTRALIA, 13
families have their lives turned upside down daily when a mum is
diagnosed with cancer.
THEN IT BECAME REAL....
These statistics finally hit home to me personally when I lost one of
my dear friends on 24th August 2018 at the age of 38. Her name was
Tarsh and she became 1 of those 12 Australians every day ..my promise
to her was to do anything to make it right for the future.
SO WHAT ARE WE GOING TO DO...?
Come together as one big tribe and contribute towards a Mummys Wish!
Mummy’s Wish can’t change the outcome of mum’s cancer journey,
but can minimise the negative impact on the family unit.
Mummy’s Wish delivers a unique and critical support service, refined
and developed following the personal experience of its founders and
the many mums hospitalised as a result of their cancer diagnosis.
Mummy’s Wish is a progressive not-for-profit that, in its 10 short
years of operation has already demonstrated high levels of success in
running an efficient, professional, caring and lean service helping
mums with cancer
Your support can help these families with the little things in life
that can get in the way of the biggest and most important things:
being together and getting well.Things like cooking, cleaning so Mum
can rest is all part of a Mummy's Wish.
My friend Tarsh always said her support network in her time of need
was noting short of amazing yet she appreciated that not all had a
network and some had to continue to work which made the recovery
harder.
THATS WHERE YOU COME IN....
Be aware. Be Involved and come along for this event where all profits
will be donated to Mummy's Wish so a Mum with Cancer can focus on her
and er recovery and family not bills, loss of income or the cleaning.
You + Me is an event where you are encouraged to reconnect with an old
friend you "have been meaning to catch up with" but have been too
"busy" or life has just been too hectic to do something together. Make
the time and invite that friend along....make the time....because it's
time for Tarsh.
That friend or relative you invite along....get them to do the same
and so on. A movie is a great way to escape the day-to-day and perhaps
grab a coffee or even dinner after the movie to enjoy some time
together.
The MOVIE CHOSEN IS THE LION KING Your ticket includes entry and a
popcorn and drink.
There will also be great fundraising tickets on the day for a great
selection of prizes & donations are VERY welcome.
