SAHMRI Public Tours

At the South Australian Health and Medical Research Institute (SAHMRI), our researchers are dedicated to improving health outcomes for the South Australian community. This is your chance to join us for a behind the scenes look at our work.When you join us for a tour at SAHMRI, you are treated to: * Stunning views of our state of the art facility and well-recognised architecture  * A deeper understanding of why medical research plays such a vital role in our community * The chance to hear from a researcher first hand about their work and its impact on health * An insight into why SAHMRI as an organisation is so unique   We hold our public tours fortnightly on Thursdays at 3:30pm. Tickets are $10 per guest, with all proceeds supporting our research. If you’d like to know more about a tour of SAHMRI, or to book a group or school tour (max 25 and 20 people respectively), please get in touch with us via tours@sahmri.com.    FAQS   IS THERE PARKING AVAILABLE AT SAHMRI? Unfortunately, there is no on-site parking available at SAHMRI. However, there are many options near by which include: * Adelaide Convention Centre [https://www.adelaidecc.com.au/content/uploads/2017/03/Car-Parking-Rates_General-Public-2017.pdf] - The Adelaide Convention Centre is a 10 minute walk down North Terrace to SAHMRI. Please check their website for current parking rates. * Entertainment Centre [http://www.theaec.net/ConcertsEvents/VenueInfo/Parking.aspx] - The Adelaide Entertainment Centre offer a 'Park and Ride' facility for $4 per day ($12 after hours). You can take the free tram directly to the SAHMRI facility by alighting at the Royal Adelaide Hospital Stop on North Terrace. * Royal Adelaide Hospital [https://www.rah.sa.gov.au/patients-and-visitors/coming-to-or-visiting-hospital/transport-and-parking] - The RAH is located next to SAHMRI and offers public parking. Please check their website for current parking rates. * The Terrace Secure Parking [https://www.secureparking.com.au/en-au/car-parks/australia/south-australia/adelaide/adelaide-cbd/the-terrace-on-north-terrace-car-park] - Secure Parking provide SAHMRI guests with a flat rate of $13 per day, providing that they validate their ticket at reception prior to leaving the SAHMRI building. * Wilson’s on Hindley Street [https://www.wilsonparking.com.au/park/5014_City-West-Car-Park_189-207-Hindley-Street-Adelaide] - Wilson's provide SAHMRI guests with a flat rate of $16 seven days a week for 12 hours per day, providing that they validate their ticket at reception prior to leaving the SAHMRI building. * On-street parking is also available in nearby side streets.
