School Holiday Workshop: Nature Journaling This workshop is aimed at a
child and parent /caregiver sharing the experience togetherPresented
by the City of MitchamStop and notice the wonders around you, with
journaling guide Jenny Deans. Explore your local area with fresh eyes
through drawing, writing and scribbling about what you
observe.Discover tips and learn skills for observing, drawing and
thinking about the natural world.Dress for the weather - including a
hat and sunscreen - when you join us as we look at the City of Mitcham
through fresh eyes.What you will learnTips and practical skills for
observing, thinking about and drawing the natural world around
you.What you will getAn artist's notebook and drawing pencils for
each adult and child (but you are welcome to bring your own
materials too). 2 hours tuition, with time for 1:1 with your
guide.Beautifully illustrated nature journaling guide with links to
resources.What to bringClothes appropriate for the weather including
good walking shoes.Bottle of Water.Sun screen.Hat or cap.Who
for?Workshop fee includes all the supplies for child AND
parent/guardian to participate together.This class is great for
anyone who likes to take the time to sit and contemplate nature.No
drawing or artistic experience required.This workshop is recommended
for ages 8+ but may also suit other school-aged children. Brought to

Natural Resources Management Board.
