Who is this workshop for? This workshop will be of interest to
families and allied community members and professionals interested in
exploring the key principles and actions that can contribute to a
dynamic family led movement for inclusion.
Guest Speakers
Bruce Uditsky, M.Ed., is the CEO Emeritus of Inclusion Alberta and its
former CEO for over 25 years. Bruce is internationally recognised for
his leadership and advocacy in social justice and inclusion for
individuals with intellectual disabilities and their families. He has
served in an advisory capacity to governments on many issues
contributing to the development of legislation, standards and policies
that advance inclusion. He co-developed Inclusion Alberta’s Family
Leadership Series which has benefitted hundreds of families and is
currently engaged nationally and internationally in family leadership
development with Inclusion International, the International Initiative
in Disability Leadership and the Canadian Association for Community
Living.
Bruce is the principal founder of Inclusive Post-Secondary Education
and co-founder of the Rotary Employment Partnership, both of which
have been formally recognized as world leading innovations. He has
consulted and taught in many countries and is the author and co-author
of books, chapters and articles on inclusion. He is the parent of two
adult sons, one of whom has developmental disabilities.
