Back to Basics II – Inflammation in neurodegenerative disease

The BACK TO BASICS WORKSHOPS provide a forum for new ideas on the molecular and cellular mechanisms underlying neurodegeneration. Their intention is to provide postgraduate students and ECRs with exposure to a broad range of thinking and research, and to give them opportunities to present their own work.BACK TO BASICS I was held as a satellite workshop to the AAIC Satellite Symposium in Sydney in September 2019. BACK TO BASICS II WILL BE A SATELLITE WORKSHOP TO THE AUSTRALIAN DEMENTIA FORUM 2020 IN ADELAIDE. SHANE LIDDELOW (NYU Langone, USA) and KATJA KANNINEN (University of Eastern Finland) are invited speakers and are keen to network with postgraduate students and ECRs. BACK TO BASICS II will be held on the premises of the Little Bang Brewing Company [https://www.littlebang.com.au/] in Stepney, near central Adelaide on the day following ADF2020. Attendance will be limited to 70 people. The registration fee provides for a cooked lunch and venue/booking costs. Details on how to submit an abstract if you wish to make an oral presentation will be provided soon.
