Japanese whisky has taken the world by storm so much so that they
can’t keep up with demand. But while whisky may be all the rage, we
take note of their vodka and especially their gin.
This month’s Pouring Ribbons showcases the history of Japanese
spirits and how the industry rose to popularity.
You will sample 5 Japanese spirits, and learn all about how the House
of Suntory, Japan’s oldest first malt whisky distillery, has
responded to the world-wide demand of its products by bringing a
beautiful new twist on spirits including gin and vodka.
Industry veteran Erica Richards will take us on a samurai’s journey
which will enable us to appreciate some limited editions which are
hard to get hold of and put them side by side with the new generation
spirits.
So, join us for an insightful evening as Erica walks us through
Japan’s spirit craft.
Bookings are essential. Spots are strictly limited to 20 per session.
What is Pouring Ribbons?
While tasting events have exploded in Adelaide to help drinkers
finesse their senses, Hains & Co hosts a monthly spirit appreciation
club with a difference:
…… a unique tasting club for women, like no other. Presented by
women, for women. No egos, no posturing.
Held once a month, you will hear from some outstanding women in the
beverage industry, as they awaken your palate on a journey of
“spirits discovery”.
Pouring Ribbons is about bringing like-minded women together in the
comfortable and casual setting of Hains & Co, over some beautiful
drinks to and pay tribute to the featured spirits.
