Join us at the beautiful St John's Church on Halifax Street for a
performance by the newly formed Nautilus Ensemble, who will play PIANO
QUARTETS IN G MINOR OF MOZART AND BRAHMS. Profits will go toward
Circle of Friends and Justice for Refugees SA. The Nautilus Ensemble
is a product of the present pandemic, for its members an entirely
positive one. Damien, an Adelaide pianist, had been preparing these
works of Mozart and Brahms for concerts with Melbourne colleagues,
booked for Victorian venues; and Michael, Justin and Greg are all
orchestral musicians in Adelaide who have been eager for an
opportunity to share musical performance. Add to this sufficient
relaxation of social restrictions and it was all we needed to give
rise to something that we hope will long outlive the pandemic.
We're lucky to have a speaker with lived experience joining us.
Numbers are limited due to adherence to strict COVID-19 regulations.
Unfortunately that also means we are unable to serve refreshments.
Please note if the event can no longer go ahead due to changing
COVID-19 restrictions there will be full refunds.
Circle of Friends consists of a number of Circles (groups) that work
in various ways to directly support people seeking asylum and
refugees. They provide rent, food, bills and friendship to those who
need it: https://cofa.org.au/ [https://cofa.org.au/]
