The _Teachers Registration and Standards Act 2004_ [https://www.legislation.sa.gov.au/LZ/C/A/TEACHERS%20REGISTRATION%20AND%20STANDARDS%20ACT%202004.aspx] (the Act) that oversees the teaching profession in South AUSTRALIA is being reviewed for the first time since it was introduced in 2004.In mid-April the Minister for Education, Mr John Gardiner MP will release the consultation paper ‘Enhancing Teacher Registration in South Australia’ which outlines possible changes to the Act. The paper will be available on the TRB website on its release. We would like your feedback on the suggested changes and potential outcomes. Join us to hear about the proposed legislative changes as well as information about the new Working with Children Check requirement commencing on 1 July 2019, which will be mandatory for anyone who works with children.
