A girls indoor soccer team warms up. From the safety of their suburban stretch circle, the nine young women navigate big questions and wage tiny battles with all the vim and vigour of a pack of adolescent warriors. This is no simple story of “growing up” or “becoming a woman”. Each person is seen for what they are: a complex and contradictory collection of thoughts, feelings, aspirations… and goals. It might be difficult to be a team but we are stronger when we fight as one.
