Hub Shinrin Yoku is a like a bridge, by opening your senses, it
bridges the gap between us and the natural world - Ancient Zen
Meditation. What is FOREST THERAPY? Walking in nature with a Certified
FOREST THERAPY GUIDE FTG, provides a delightful and relaxing
experience. As your guides, we work in partnership with nature,
sharing gentle complimentary, physical, sensory and creative
activities, which respond to the natural environment, with an
intentional flow. The experience invites space for quiet listening,
reflection and inquiry through all the senses. During the walk, you
will spend some time walking slowly, stopping and sitting. There is no
right or wrong way to participate in the activities, simply follow
your intuition and curiosity to explore the natural environment. With
Shinrin Yoku, the FOREST IS THE THERAPIST, and the guide opens the
door. FOREST THERAPY IS AN EFFECTIVE PUBLIC HEALTH PRACTICE, with
researched benefits including reduced stress, increased immune
function and improved mental health. The activities follow the
standard set by the International Core Curriculum for FOREST THERAPY,
as specified by the International Nature & FOREST THERAPY ALLIANCE
INFTA. Your Guides: Leesa brings her experience as a Certified FOREST
