Moxie, Peach, Jean de la Baptiste, DonFor a year now, NEW HÖRIZÖNS
has been making major moves in the nightlife of nipaluna / Hobart /
„cold ibiza“. We've been in the Kissing Room, on a boat, in the
back of a truck, and at Altar. We've brought HAAi, Roza Terenzi,
Francis Inferno Orchestra, Turner Street Sound, Mafalda, Baba Noir,
Crate Mates, and Adi Toohey to our shores. And now, to celebrate our
first birthday, we bring a very special international
double-header...~ MOXIE ~The UK's Moxie has forged a career that has
taken her all over the world, to the hallowed halls of Fabric, De
School, Concrete, and the energy dome of Berghain’s Panorama Bar,
and beyond! She continues to take her unique culmination of expertise,
seamlessly fusing anything from classic Chicago house to obscure
leftfield breaks, or glittering disco with energetic percussive
rollers, entertaining and educating club goers wherever the journey
takes her. As a radio DJ who started out covering for Sinden’s Kiss
FM show in 2010, Moxie has gone on to hold down The Residency and
INDJ’s We Trust slots on BBC Radio 1 and continues to have one of
the longest standing residencies on NTS. Her weekly show is a staple
for the latest in house, disco, techno and beyond, peppered with her
engaging and charismatic radio chat - hosting guests from some of
dance music’s leading artistic forces including Jeff Mills, Midland,
Four Tet, Honey Dijon and more. Alongside her illustrious radio and DJ
career, Moxie has established herself as a promoter and label founder
with On Loop. Started in 2016, the party has rapidly gained momentum,
welcoming artists such as Matthew Herbert, Or:La, Leon Vynehall and
Joy Orbison, in venues across Europe and the UK – including
Amsterdam, Lyon, Paris, and on-going residencies at London’s Pickle
Factory, The Soup Kitchen in Manchester, and Sneaky Pete’s in
Edinburgh, alongside finding a home at one of her life long favourite
festivals, Glastonbury, and presenting stages at Oxford’s Common
People & Festival no.6 in Wales.~ PEACH ~Toronto's Peach is most
frequently found on the internet radio waves, and in various raves.
Now based in London, where she hosts her monthly NTS Radio show, you
can find her on line-ups with artists such as Pearson Sound, Karen
Gwyer and Andres, or bouncing around the dancefloor. Her sets are
creative, coherently traversing several genres. She deftly constructs
elevating narratives with energy, dynamism and passion. This vibrancy
is captured on her debut track, "Silky", a fast-paced, melodic cut
which was released on Intergraded - a new imprint for emerging artists
launched by Midland. Most recently Peach turned in an excellent Crack
Mix where "sounds bleed into one another, joined only by an ability to
impact dancefloors...it’s sprinkled with unreleased goodies,
testament to a selector moving in the right circles." Crack Magazine~
