THIS COURSE MOVES AWAY FROM BUILDING THE BASIC TYPES OF GAMES WITH
PREDETERMINED SETTING AND ALLOWS THE CREATION OF INDIVIDUALIZED
COMPUTER GAMES WITH MORE COMPLEX GAME PLAY.
GAME DESIGN (INTERMEDIATE) IS THE SECOND PART OF OUR GAMING COURSES.
IN THIS COURSE YOU WILL HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO CODE YOUR GAMES IN
DETAIL.
STEPPING AWAY FROM THE PREDETERMINED SETTINGS OF THE PREVIOUS COURSE,
YOU WILL GO THROUGH AND CREATE MORE COMPLEX SCROLLING SHOOTER GAMES,
ENDLESS RUNNER GAMES AND PLATFORM GAMES, AND INTRODUCE MORE COMPLEX
ENEMIES WITH SIMPLE AI.
-------------------------
LEVEL 1
This course is designed for kids who have completed the Introduction
to Game Design course and are eager for making computer games of their
own creation. This course focuses on introducing the coding language
used in game design and will have them making their first games in no
time.
LEVEL 2
Building on concepts and knowledge gained in the “Game Design
(Intermediate) Level 1” course, your child will have the opportunity
to gain a deeper understanding of the coding language. In this course
they will continue developing their understanding through the creation
of platformer style games using more complex controls, gravity, player
tracking, multiple rooms etc.
LEVEL 3
The third part of the Game Design (Intermediate) courses, this course
builds on the skills developed in the previous 2 parts. In this course
they will take their coding skills to the next level with the
introduction AI mechanics, complex game design, and much more in the
aim of creating a game of their own creation.
LEVEL 4
The final part of the Game Design (Intermediate) courses, here we test
their knowledge that they have gained so far by having them build a
game of their own creation. Using the coding skills they have
developed in the previous courses, they will have the support and
guidance to create a game of their own choosing and design.
